WRITING ACTIVITY- POETRY

POETRY

As you already know, we want to promote poetry in our English class and I propose that through the Kids Magnetic Poetry Kit application, you let your imagination run wild and try to write a poem with the words you will find on the web. When you finish, you will only have to save it and share the link with me. Do you dare?

  1. Good afternoon, Maria
The activity that you propose is very good and interesting because the students can easily identify the words in the application that you propose. It is very interactive, easy to understand, suggestive, dynamic and can be very entertaining for students. Another thing that I liked about your proposal is that it allows you to make a lot of combinations to try and be able to make multiple options when making poems.
    Thank you so much.

    1. Thank you, Carlos. You are right, the purpose is to try to combine some words to build a sentence.

Hello MarĂa! This looks like a nice task for children. I think depending on the words, the level can be a bit too high for some levels of Primary Education, but for the highest ones it should work. I actually tried the platform, here is the link to my poem: https://play.magneticpoetry.com/poem/Kids/kit/129651 :)

    1. Hi Virginia, you are right, it could be a bit hard for them, it depends on their level, sure. Although making new and short sentences can be a challenge as well. Thanks!

  3. Good morning, Maria!
Thanks a lot for sharing this such interesting tool. I think it has many possibilities to work writing with our students, but also reading and even speaking. I will use it in my class for sure!
I really like your blog, it's very intuitive and appropriate for 5th grade. Good job!

    1. Thank you, Marta. I really like using visual resources. I usually ask myself: If I were a student, what would I like? and that's it!
